No dress shopping...
Well, we waited to long to make an appointment to go dress shopping around our trip to my Mom's house for Christmas. I guess the plan is to meet in Boise one weekend and do it together. We better hurry up. Only six months until the wedding. My little sister's dress did come in from David's Bridal before Christmas, so she was able to try it on. It looks so cute on her. They will have to take it in to get altered though, I got her a size two which is the smallest David Bridal carries. Dang skinny 13 year olds anyway!
While I was Christmas shopping for snow boots for my fiance, I asked the store if I could order all the bridesmaids boots from them on a custom order. They are going to give me 20% off! Score! The Bridesmaids are going to wear the brown camo boots with thier brown dresses, and I am going to wear the white camo boots with my white dress.

Dress shopping
Friday was a crazy day. My Maid of Honor and I went to David's Bridal to look for dresses. We wanted to find a dress for the girls that would look good with fat baby boots. We lucked out and found two dress styles on the clearance rack that will look great. And they are only $40.00! However I can not get ahold of one bridesmaid. I hope she can get in the store in time to get the right dress before they are sold out.
Then I tried on a bridesmaids dress to see what a different shape would look like in the dress. Ahh it was awful. I got really upset about my weight and then went to try on wedding dresses. It was a really weird
experience. I cried pretty much the whole time for a couple reasons: 1- I was upset about my weight and tummy, and 2- it was just Maid of Honor and I. The other girls in there had a whole passel of people oohing and awing when she came out. I guess I really wan my Mom and sister there.
So we did find great bridesmaids dresses for a great price, and I will try dresses on again with my mom and sister at Christmas.
I also came home Friday and ordered P90X. I should feel better about my body by Christmas.

Save the Dates
Yeah! Today I came home to a box on the mailbox full of awesome little magnets! I had ordered them from Vistaprint last week. It cost $109 for 100 magnets with matching envelopes. My future mother in law came over and addressed all the envelopes while I stuffed them. Perfect. I cannot wait to send them out on Monday.

Craigslist!!
Craigslist is an amazing resource for a DIY bride!! I found a gal from the neighboring town that had purchased almost everything and wanted to sell it. I went to her house yesterday with the expectation to buy 400 ft of lights. I left with the lights, 15 white table cloths, 300 sets of silverware, salad bowls, baskets with salt & pepper and oil & vinegar containers, and seving utensils.
When I saw the post I wondered why on Earth would you BUY table cloths and silverware. Well, when you can buy them for 1/2 the rental cost and turn around and sell them again to break even, you BUY them.
I spent $550 dollars on these items that are worth $998, and $300 of that is rental money I would have never seen again. Aeven though I was too excited followed by being exhausted and wanting to go home, and counted the salad bowls twice overpaying by $80 dollars..... I am still satisfied with the purchase.
DIY'ers, I highly reccomend checking out Craigslist. Now I am on the lookout for brown table cloths and green napkins. Craigslist here I come.

Engagement ring!
Gabe did such a wonderful job picking it out. He bought it from the original jeweler in Walla Walla circa 1880's while I was away for the week at a work conference.
It is perfect. And yesterday I was able to drop the appraisal papers off at the insurance company. One item to check off my to do list: get e-ring insured.

DIY & Country Rustic
I am so happy to be getting married June 30, 2012. One of the many reasons is the fact that this girl's ideas are "in style" right now, and that never happens. The trending fashions today are DIY and Country Rustic. That is great for two reasons: 1- I am country and we live a somewhat rustic lifestyle so naturally our wedding would reflect that, and 2- DIY is great for budget focused individuals who like to craft. So this girl can be cheap and trendy at the same time!
